Book Jacket
The project assigned from my Visual Communication Design class was to redesign an existing book jacket through the use of Adobe Illustrator. We were given a list of books to choose from that represented a controversial issue in society. I had the freedom to change fonts, colors, and images and incorporate my own interpretation of what the book was all about.
Creative Concept
I chose a book called, Biased, written by the author, Jennifer L. Eberhardt. It acknowledges the issues of racial biases in our country and how to overcome unconscious stereotyping. I wanted to implement these ideas through my graphics and chose to use a strong color like red to reveal this powerful subject.
